Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Sensing The Unseen

It was a cold, breezy, October day in Northern Ohio, and Clara Watch, a distressed mother in labor was being rushed to the nearest hospital by her husband Vin Watch. This was the young couple’s very first child, and they did their best to remain calm. The birth went about as well as it could, and Abijah Watch entered the world. Abijah had good, honest and hardworking parents who would try their best to raise their son in a good and honest way.

The years went on and Abijah grew taller and wiser. He had a peaceful demeanor, very observant and well thought through. He always had questions and would discuss many pressing matters that tugged his spirit of curiosity with his parents and trusted elders.

Abijah loved the outdoors and playing in the woods with his two very good friends Tom Pent and Jay Cedar. These boys lived in the same woods and were growing up together. Oh, the wonderful times they had in the wood!

Abijah loved to read and learn all about God’s creation, the Founding Father’s of America and all the many events and lessons that shaped the country. This delighted his parents and they got him his very own library card so he could check out books anytime!

One night after Abijah closed up his latest book, which was all about the daring adventures of George Washington. As he was contemplating how he shared Washingtons passion for God’s marvelous creation, he drifted off into a deep sleep.

Abijah found himself in a dark room with the sound of soft murmuring and thr flickering of a candle in the distance. He steadily approached nearer to the light while the shadow of the candle cast shadows around him. There he saw a man sitting at the desk with the name “George Washington” written on the desk sign. The man was in a state of deep sadness, and tears streamed down his face onto a Bible that appeared very old and used many times. Behind the man was a dirty and dusty old window that blew in a dreary draft.
