“I’ve been trudging through a long hard valley. The burden is heavily weighing heavy and I’ve called on my God to help me through this.”
These valleys we walk through in this life can be so long, painful and so difficult. It is often in these valleys that I come to know the heart of my Savior and experience His peace that surpasses all understanding.
Difficulties cause us to humble ourselves before the Lord and cling to His truth in the darkness of our situation. When we’ve been spent, spat on and trampled upon and our very beings cry out for God’s mercy and light to shine upon us….He is there strengthening, guiding, loving and sharpening us. He is using this trial for our good. He will restore and heal what was broken. He has a plan and it is good. Diamonds shine under friction.
In the midst of these valleys I’ve been in, I have felt so confused, anxious, spiritually oppressed and doubted myself many times. It’s easy to get down on yourself and think you must be the problem. This is not true! Don’t allow these destructful thoughts to stay! Every time the demons came and these horrible thoughts filled my head I would call on my God to save me and HE DID AND DOES EVERYTIME!
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 34:18
The Lord restores, heals and establishes our steps. He gives us guidance and the words to speak. He comforts us and fills our souls with His peace. He speaks His truth in our hearts and gives us the strength to carry on when we cling to Him above all else.
He gives us the strength to not go too far the right or to the left, but to stand strong on His truth. We must listen closely to His voice and follow our Lord even against opposition. In His hands we commit our bodies as a living sacrifice. Ready to do His will.
In Christ Jesus is fullness of joy. All the trials, pain and heavy burdens were all worth it if they made me closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus. He is using all of this for yours and my good. He is not done. He has a plan and perpose for us all. No season is wasted. He is preparing us for what is to come. Hold on to His promises. He will never leave nor forsake His children.
He is always there to catch us when we fall. He is the good shepherd gently leading us and prodding us onward into a deeper relationship with Him. He doesn’t want us to walk alone. He wants to carry your burdens. Lay down your burdens and experience His love and rest for your soul.
Come to me all you who are weary, and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn for me, for I am gentle and humble in heart. Matthew 11:28-30
Yoke yourself to Jesus, and let Him carry the heavy part of your load.
