Liver Loving Foods!

Our livers are put through so so much! These little guys have to deal with everything from chemicals, dyes, artificial ingredients, toxic fats, medications/pharmaceuticals and on top of all that…emotional trauma.

With the heavy work load the mighty little liver must endure, it deserves our intentional care! Signs you may need to do a liver detox include:

You can support your liver naturally and you liver will love you for it! Try some of the liver healing methods listed below and you’ll be on your way to a healthier liver!

•Start your day with a warm cup of lemon water to help with healthy bile production.

•Do a castor oil pack several times weekly. You can Google instructions on how to do it!

•Eat BEETS, LEAFY GREENS, and BITTER HERBS! Some great options would be milk thistle, burdock, dandelion, parsley and cilantro.

•Let go of grudges and forgive. This is easier said than done. Go through a trauma healing program. Incorporate journaling and prayer into your routine. Find a trusted friend or family member to confide in and pray with you. You’re not alone.

•Get regular massages to support healthy circulation and reduce overall stress. Stress makes everything worse when it’s not released properly. Stress is good when it keeps us from wrecking a car or saving a child running into traffic, but not when it is ongoing.

•Incorporate excercises like rebounding and walking to support lymphatic flow.

•Red light therapy has been shown to improve your health on a cellular level. Try laying right under the lamp so your liver is exposed fully to it.

•Don’t overdo it on fat. Healthy fat is great for you, but too much on a struggling liver can be too much. Try a liver detox diet. You can find great articles by Dr. Josh Axe online.

•Eat liver! Be mindful of where you got your liver and what the animal was eating first. This is important.

These tips may seem intimidating, but you can do this one little step at a time! Start small and add from there.

Add beets to a salad, cook up liver instead of a steak, add a scoop of steamed spinach to your meals, go for a walk after lunch, do a castor oil pack during a movie, journal and pray, drink bitter herb tea and warm lemon water, incorporate lots of liver healing veggies and fruits.

I believe everyone will benefit from supporting their liver regardless if they have liver issues or not. The liver is a good place to start supporting a healthy body naturally. A healthy body starts on the inside.♡
