Good Health Is A Lifestyle

New Year’s is almost here. We all know what that can mean. New Years resolutions. New Goals. New commitments. New diets. New plans. New ideas….etc…New goals are good and all, but so long as you stick to them!

The problem for most people is sticking with the goals they’ve made for themselves. You may plant a garden, but unless you tend to and water it, it will wilt and die. The same principle goes for health and wellness goals. We may have good intentions, but good intentions are not enough to carry us to success. We need a plan, a reason and a strategy to get us there.

In order to stay motivated. We need to ask ourselves the hard questions.

•Why am I doing this?

•What obstacles could get in the way?

•Why is my goal important?

•Who am I doing this for?

•What will I say or do when it gets hard?

For me knowing my “why” behind my health goals is unnegotiable. Have scriptures ready to help you stay strong when it’s tough. Ask God in prayer to keep you motivated to follow through with your goals! Ask a close friend or family member to keep you accountable! Set reminders and remember to make enough room in your schedule for your goals.

Set yourself up for success and take joy in caring for the body God gave you! Honor Him in this gift and worship Him everyday in what you say, do and meditate on. Mindset comes first when it comes to goals and habits. The longer you stick with your goals, the easier and more natural they become. Don’t give up!
