Hi, there fall lovers! It’s October, and fall is certainly here! In my book fall means sweaters, beanies, bonfires, colorful leaves, pumpkin spice, and lot’s and lot’s of fall Baking! In a season full of sweet treats, and baked goodies; why not try naturally sweet and gluten free? It might even save you a dentist trip, and stomach discomfort that is entirely inconvenient. In this article I want to discuss gluten free, and naturally sweetened recipes, plus healthy ingredient swaps!
Let’s start with my favorite…pumpkin pie! Last fall, I made this pie on repeat every week! It’s so delicious, and pumpkin spice satisfying!🍁 Pair it with coffee, and you’ve got a perfect match!☕️🍁
My top 3 favorite healthy recipe swaps I always use are gluccomannon, stevia, and flax!
●Gluccomannon is a root powder, and is an excellent source of fiber. It helps to balance blood sugar naturally! Use it instead of corn starch or flour to thicken recipes.
●Stevia is an excellent natural sweetener, with no affect on your blood sugar at all! Use it sparingly in recipes or coffee, as it is super sweet! I would suggest doing taste tests!
●Flax is my go to for a binding flour in breads, muffins, and energy balls. It adds fiber, and good plant omega 3’s! You can add it to the crust recipe listed above to add even more health benefits!
