Releasing Through Massage

As a massage therapist, I massage so many different body types, and feel so many different tension levels. Some store so much stress in so many areas of their body, and those areas are often rock hard! As someone who used to internalize stress, and hold tension in my body, I know what this does to a person. If you do not allow your body to release tension sometime, somehow, it will continue to build up until you literally “burst.”

Learning the art of releasing, surrendering, and healing, must be part of our normal health practices to keep ourselves balanced. This might look different for everyone. It may be taking a prayer walk in the woods, journaling, reading, crafting, or slowing down to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets, and praise God for the little things! We know how to ignore pain, both emotional and physical; in fact some of us are masters at it! We put on that smiley face, and say “I’m fine!” But the problem is…when we do not release our struggles and stresses to Jesus, they stay with us and weigh us down. They affect us more than we know. When we release and surrender our burdens to Jesus, oh the load that gets taken off our shoulders! The feeling is so sweet, and I love Jesus so much!

●Journal about it

●Go on a prayer walk

●Bake nutritious foods

●Have coffee with a friend

●Get a massage!😊

Take everything to God in prayer! He really cares that much! He loves you, and doesn’t want you to be weighed down by burdens and fears. Also, getting a massage is a wonderful way to release stress and tension in those problem areas. May God bless, guide and protect you my friend.♡
